Crispy sweet potato fries topped generously with melted cheese, crispy bacon, green onions, and a creamy ranch drizzle. A delicious, hearty snack or appetizer that's visually appealing and perfect for sharing!

Ingredients

  • 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into fries

  • 1½ tbsp olive oil

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese blend)

  • 4 strips cooked bacon, chopped

  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced

  • ¼ cup ranch dressing (or sour cream)

  • Optional: Jalapeño slices, chopped tomatoes, or avocado

Directions

  • Oven Method:
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Toss sweet potato fries with olive oil and salt. Spread fries on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until crispy. Add toppings and cheese, then bake or broil an additional 3-4 minutes until melted. Garnish and serve immediately.
  • Air Fryer Method:
Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Toss fries in olive oil and salt. Air fry for 15-20 minutes, shaking halfway, until crispy. Transfer fries to a plate, add toppings, and quickly melt cheese under a broiler (1-2 mins). Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Want extra crunch? Use cornstarch (1 tbsp per 2 potatoes) before tossing in oil for even crispier fries.
No sweet potatoes? You can swap them for regular fries or frozen fries for convenience.
Serving idea: These pair perfectly with a side of ranch, chipotle mayo, or melted queso for dipping!
