Ingredients
1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained & rinsed
1 tbsp olive oil
¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
Directions
- Preheat & Prep: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Rinse and dry chickpeas thoroughly with a paper towel.
- Roast Plain First: Spread chickpeas on a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes to dry them out.
- Season: Remove chickpeas from the oven and toss with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Roast Again: Return to the oven and bake for another 15-20 minutes until crispy, shaking the pan halfway through.
- Add Parmesan & Serve: Sprinkle chickpeas with grated parmesan and red pepper flakes (if using) while they’re still hot. Let cool slightly before enjoying!
Notes
