2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
1/2 cup cream cheese
1/4 cup sour cream
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: chopped romaine lettuce, tomato, pickles, or burger buns
Directions
- Cook the Bacon:
In a large skillet, cook chopped bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving a bit of grease in the pan. - Cook the Beef and Onion:
Add onion and ground beef to the skillet. Cook until beef is browned and onion is soft. Drain excess grease. - Make the Cheese Mixture:
Reduce heat to low. Stir in cream cheese, sour cream, 1 cup shredded cheddar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth. - Assemble and Bake:
Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish. Top with remaining cheddar and the cooked bacon. Bake at 375°F for 15–20 minutes until bubbly.
