Ingredients
2.5β3 lbs pork shoulder or pork loin
1 cup BBQ sauce
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp smoked paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Sear the Pork (Optional):
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear pork for 2β3 minutes per side to lock in flavor. - Slow Cook:
Transfer pork to a slow cooker. Add BBQ sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cover and cook on low for 6β8 hours or until fork-tender. - Shred and Toss:
Remove pork, shred with two forks, then return to the slow cooker and mix with juices and sauce. - Assemble Sandwiches:
Spoon pulled pork onto burger buns and serve hot. Add coleslaw if desired.
