Ingredients
6 large jalapeños (halved & seeds removed)
4 oz cream cheese (softened)
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
¼ cup cooked bacon bits (optional)
½ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1 large egg (beaten)
2 tablespoons milk
½ cup panko breadcrumbs
Cooking spray or oil spray
Directions
- Prepare the Jalapeños: Cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds.
- Make the Filling: In a bowl, mix cream cheese, shredded cheddar, bacon bits (if using), garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff & Coat: Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture. In one bowl, whisk the egg and milk. In another bowl, add panko breadcrumbs. Dip each stuffed jalapeño into the egg wash, then coat with panko.
- Air Fry: Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray the poppers with oil and place them in the air fryer. Cook for 8-10 minutes until crispy and golden brown.
- Serve: Let cool slightly, then enjoy with ranch, sour cream, or your favorite dipping sauce!
Notes
- ✅ For extra crunch, double coat by repeating the egg wash and panko step.
✅ For spicier poppers, leave some seeds in.
