Ingredients
6 slices bread (Texas toast or thick-cut preferred)
3 eggs
¼ cup milk
½ tsp garlic powder
6 slices bacon, cooked
3 slices cheddar cheese or preferred melty cheese
1 tsp butter for cooking
Salt & pepper to taste
Directions
- Make French Toast: Whisk together eggs, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Dip bread slices and cook in a buttered skillet until golden brown on both sides. Set aside.
- Assemble Sandwiches: On one slice of French toast, layer cooked bacon, a cheese slice, and a freshly cooked egg. Top with another slice to sandwich.
- Melt & Serve: Return sandwiches to skillet over low heat and cover until cheese melts, about 1–2 minutes.
- Serve: Slice and enjoy warm — optional drizzle of hot sauce or maple syrup for sweet-savory lovers.
Notes
- ✅ Use sausage patties instead of bacon for a switch-up
✅ Add sautéed onions or spinach for extra flavor
✅ Can be frozen after cooking — reheat in toaster oven or air fryer
