Ingredients

Directions

  • Prep the Onion: Slice the onion into rings and separate them.
  • Set Up Breading Station: In one bowl, whisk together flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, whisk eggs and milk. In a third bowl, mix panko and Parmesan.
  • Bread the Onion Rings: Dredge each ring in flour, dip into egg mixture, then coat in panko. Press the breadcrumbs firmly for maximum crunch.
  • Air Fry: Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray the onion rings with oil and place them in a single layer. Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden brown.
  • Serve: Let cool slightly and enjoy with ketchup, ranch, or your favorite dip!

Notes

  • For extra crunch, repeat the egg and panko step for a double coating.
Avoid overcrowding the air fryer; cook in batches if needed.
For a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne to the flour mixture.
