Ingredients
1 lb white fish fillets (cod, tilapia, or haddock)
½ cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons milk
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
¼ cup grated Parmesan (optional)
Cooking spray or oil spray
Lemon wedges (for serving)
Directions
- Prepare the Fish: Cut fish fillets into even strips about 1 inch wide. Pat dry with paper towels.
- Set Up Breading Station: In one bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. In a second bowl, whisk eggs and milk. In a third bowl, combine panko and Parmesan.
- Bread the Fish: Dredge each fish strip in flour, dip into egg mixture, then coat in panko. Press the breadcrumbs firmly for a crispy coating.
- Air Fry: Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Lightly spray the fish sticks with oil and place them in a single layer. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve: Enjoy hot with lemon wedges and your favorite dipping sauce!
