Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
Β½ teaspoon ground cumin
Β½ teaspoon chili powder
Β½ teaspoon garlic powder
Β½ teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper (to taste)
1 tsp olive oil spray
Optional toppings: sour cream, guacamole, salsa
Directions
- Cook the Chicken: In a skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and add chicken breasts. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Cook until golden and cooked through (about 5β6 minutes per side), then shred using two forks.
- Mix the Filling: In a bowl, combine shredded chicken, cheddar cheese, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Assemble Chimichangas: Spoon the filling into the center of each tortilla. Fold the sides in, then roll tightly into a burrito shape.
- Air Fry: Spray each chimichanga lightly with olive oil spray. Place seam-side down in your air fryer and cook at 390Β°F for 10β12 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Serve: Slice and top with sour cream, salsa, or guac if desired.
